Level Team Romps at Dew Tour

Level’s stacked Team made a lasting impression at the inaugural winter Dew Tour event at Breckenridge this weekend with Gretchen Bleiler’s victory in the Women’s Superpipe and Duncan Adams’ third place in the Men’s Freeski Superpipe. But the fun didn’t stop there as Matt Walker nailed down 5th in Men’s Freeski Slopestyle and Xavier Bertoni from France grabbed 6th in the Pipe. And in the Men’s Superpipe, Finland’s Janne Korpi took 3rd place.

Bleiler’s victory came in dramatic fashion with a come from behind, sensational 2nd run that sealed the victory over Kelly Clark. After a slow start in last week’s Grand Prix event at Copper and in Friday’s prelims, GB finally exploded with a dominant run that put a huge smile on the champ’s face.

For 16 year old Duncan Adams, the podium finish behind Tanner Hall and Justin Dorey was a remarkably consistent break out performance that featured back to back switch tricks and a flowing, smooth style that the judges rewarded with high marks on all of his runs through the prelims and finals.

The Dew Tour is the world’s richest action sports tour in the world. Over 100 of the world’s best snowboarders and freeskiers will follow the Tour to the remaining two stops at Mount Snow, VT and Northstar, CA , all scrapping for a 1.5 million dollar prize purse. Fans can catch LIVE coverage on NBC along with loads of play from MTV, MTV2, and USA.

Level 08-09 Pro Ski Team

Level’s Pro Team for 08-09 is stacked as always with JP Auclair, Tanner Rainville, Matt Sterbenz, Tim Durtschi, Tim Russell, and Matt Philippi, and Zach Davison returning from the 07-08 Team. Joining the Boyz is Matt Walker…new Team Pro for 08-09!

The Team has been hard at it over the past two seasons building an amazing library of sick segments in the best film productions. This year’s Level 1 production, Turbo, once again features Level Pro, Tanner Rainville, charging it with his silky style in AK, Targhee, and Canada.

JP Auclair and Tim Durtschi hooked up with Poor Boyz Productions again in Reasons, which won 4 out of 7 awards at IF3 awards in Montreal.

JP has been working on another amazing project. He and a group of friends created a foundation called Alpine Initiatives, a platform to unite the snow sports community to work together on different projects that will have a positive impact on the world.

For their first project JP and his buddies partnered up with International Peace Initiatives and are presently building a community home for orphans in Kenya. To support Alpine Initiatives or learn more, log on to www.alpineinitiatives.org

Right on, JP!

Most of the Team this year is rocking the Rexford and Rexford Trigger Mitts which are totally styled out in soft Pittard’s English leather and full of super-warm PrimaLoft insulation. Check ‘em out at www.levelusa.net www.levelusa.net

New Alpine Initiatives from JP

Hello people from everywhere,

Some of you might have already heard about it but a few friends and I just embarked on a new journey.

Mikey Hovey, Chad Fleischer, Seth Koch and myself decided to create a foundation called Alpine Initiatives. We plan to use it as a platform to unite the snow-sports community and to get people working together on different projects that will have a positive impact on the world. We believe that if we all get together, we can achieve great things.
