New Alpine Initiatives from JP

Some of you might have already heard about it but a few friends and I just embarked on a new journey.

Mikey Hovey, Chad Fleischer, Seth Koch and myself decided to create a foundation called Alpine Initiatives. We plan to use it as a platform to unite the snow-sports community and to get people working together on different projects that will have a positive impact on the world. We believe that if we all get together, we can achieve great things.

For our first project we have partnered up with International Peace Initiatives, an organization that operates out of Meru, in Kenya. They are presently building a community home for orphans and they are hoping to complete this project in time for beginning of the school year (1st of November). To do so, they will need help so this coming October, all four of us, along with friends, will be heading to Kenya to lend a hand. Right now, we are in the process of raising money for the materials needed to finish the home.
